40TB dataguard setup

Hello Erman,

kindly advise how we can setup a 40TB standby database? RMAN active duplicate will be good? What is the best option can you advise us? Tape backup is good? in terms of networking what could be best?

There are lots of options.. It depends on your network bandwidth and time.. Rman duplicate is a stable solution for this. But there are quicker ways as well.. for instance, storage snapshots--snapmirrors.. But you need to have the necessary infra in place to support you for that..
If you don't have a good bandwith and if you don't have those types of storage technologies, taking a tape backup and delivering it to the dest standby site physically and restoring from the tape can be a solution as well.. So it depends..
