Cannot Launch Forms

Hi,

R12.2 and 11.5.10.2 on AIX DB 11.2.0.4

On the same work station (Windows 10) when launch Forms in 11.5.10 EBS we receive:


In order to access this application, you must install the J2SE Plugin version 1.8.0_51. To install this plugin, click here to download the oaj2se.exe executable. Once the download is complete, double-click the oaj2se.exe file to install the plugin. You will be prompted to restart your browser when the installation is complete



But we have no problem to launch Forms in EBS R12.2.4.
It is the case for IE and Chrome brawser.

This is a client side issue. (clients can not open forms on EBS 11i)
Do you have java installed on client? (For instance 1.8.0_51)
Is it the only java installed in the cient?
what do you see when you test your java using a web browser? (on the problematic client -> https://www.java.com/en/download/uninstalltool.jsp)

I will verify that document.

If java was not there R12.2 systems also should have the same problem. Isn't it?

But we can launch forms from R12.2

Java must be there. If java isn't there, then this is not a proper EBS env. You don't need to do anything for java , it is installed with the rapidwiz during the EBS installation.
This seems like a client problem.
