This post was updated on .
Please read ->  How to Setup and Test Failover of PCP ..... (Doc ID 743716.1)

It says : "Define the Primary and Secondary nodes for your Internal Concurrent Manager and Standard Managers, Conflict Resolution Manager(CRM) and so on.. (using the Concurrent Manager Define form)

The note above gives you a table that you can see the primary and secondary node definitions for internal and standard managers.

That note also give you the ways for testing the failover.

Thank you.

Is primary and secondary not required to be set for Internal monitor and service managers?

Reference Oracle Support:

*Ensure that the Internal Monitors on both nodes defined properly and have workshifts assigned to them. Also make sure the Internal Monitor manager is activated by going into Concurrent -> Manager -> Adminitrator and activate the manager as they need to be active on the nodes where the ICM can start in case of a failure..

*(Note: FNDIMON and FNDSM run independently on each concurrent processing node. FNDSM
is not a persistent process, and FNDIMON is a persistent process local to each node)

Re: Concurrent managers

Thank you.

What i understand is, fndimon and fndsm will be defined on each node,so no need to assign  primary and secondary node to fndimon and fndsm.

Pls correct if i am wrong.

Thank you.
