Copy/ Paste Issue

Saad Qaiser Khan
Hello Erman,

I am recently facing a problem of copy paste issue on oracle ebs forms. I am unable to paste anything from notepad/excel to oracle forms fields.

Can you please tell me whats the problem?

Also I have searched on the internet and found this link

http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/101833/

Which tells something about .java.policy file? But unable to find these lines
grant codeBase "http://forms_server/-" {
permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessClipboard";
permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessEventQueue";
permission java.awt.AWTPermission "showWindowWithoutWarningBanner";
};

Need your help if you know any solution other than that or could help me with this one.

Thanks and Regards,
Saad Khan

1)Check the following document and ensure that your clientsidejava-EBS-Browser is supported. Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 389422.1)
2)Ensure your clients are configured properly. (I mean ensure that the client side jar files are not corrupt)
3)Does this happening on all your environments? or the issue is specific to a single environment. If so, please send me the detailed info about your environment.. (such as if the jars are signed or not? -- send me this kind of stuff)
4)Does this issue occur  on all the client machines? If not, check the problematic clients.. (Java and browser + security conf specifically)

Every environment works fine with the copy/Paste except of one user on production server. This is user specific issue.

Check the client..
Check the network of that client.
Check and see the difference of that client. (Browser version , browser configuration security, installed java, proxy etc.)
Also clear the client side Java Cache and retry.

Did you do all the other checks?

Also what do you mean "didnt help"? You need to clear java cache of your client.
This how-to is publically available.
I don't give client tech support here..

Re: Copy/ Paste Issue

Saad Qaiser Khan
Firstly what I thought was that it should be the problem with internet explorer security settings like clipboard access was disable but it wasn't so enabling it doesn't help.

We were ignoring an error that keeps pop up first time we click on any form after login which says "The application digital signature could not be verified do you want to run the application"

We were canceling this. But this time when we click on run and forms open the copy paste was working fine.

can you please tell me why this error keeps appearing? And how to solve it?

Thank You,
Saad Qaiser Khan

what is the java version of this problematic client? and what is the java version of the other clients?
Did you add the ebs url to the java exception list, using control panel > java?

If the problem would be on all the client, I could give you the following support note:
Unable To Copy And Paste Text To Desktop Applications From Core Applications (Doc ID 434038.1)

However, you have only one client which encounters this problem.
So I m suspecting client side java. Your problematic client may have a higher java version than others.
(Note, the security is enhanced in higher java versions)

Check the following notes, and you will understand my point;

Form Hangs When Acknowledging Security Warning - The application's digital signature cannot be verified (Doc ID 1328039.1)

Error: The Application Digital Signature Cannot Be Verified. Do You Want To Run The Application? (Doc ID 1347619.1)

Since the issue is only for one client, I suggest you to check the client java version, and if you see that the java of that client is higher than the other clients, lower the version of the java and retry.

This post was updated on .
Check the client java version and client tier and the network access path as
a whole. Your issue is in the client tier.
