Custom top R12.2.5

Dear Erman,

We have followed the note id and created a custom top 1577707.1.

According to note id,we made changes to xxmzterr.txt in a text editor and Changed the text "Oracle_Support_Diagnostic_Tools" to be "xxmz_custom_app" and ran adsplice.Custom top was created successfully and few objects also created under custom top.

Its almost a month,But now client wants to change the application name to some meaningful way like client want us to change it from xxmz_custom_app to XXMZ_Custom_Application.we have changed it in xxterr.txt and ran adsplice again but the changes are not reflected.


Could you please let us know the process of changing the application short name from xxmz_custom_app to XXMZ_Custom_Application

Why dont you do this -> Use adsplice and splice a new custom product as " XXMZ_Custom_Applicatio" and redeploy all the customizations using this custom application ?

Also note that -> although your short name can be up to 50 characters, the recommendation is to use only four or five characters for ease in maintaining your application and in calling routines that use your short name.
