Does dropping diskgroup cleanup the header

Dear erman,

We are on 12.1.0.2

If we drop a diskgroup,will it clean the disk header and format the data?

In this link,at the bottom section,he shows we can get the data back even after dropping diskgroup.

You may use "dd" to wipe out the headers and data.
