EBS 12.2.4 SSL

Surya Mandapaka
Erman,

thanks for putting out great information, it was very useful several times in the last year or so.

We are implementing EBS 12.2.4 and am stuck at the SSL setup.  Pretty much followed what you have put out in your thread "EBS 12.2 -- Configuring SSL in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2".  But at the end, while trying access the login page, getting an error:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to sushqcebusapp01.urbanout.com:8010. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Just wanted to see if you have any thoughts where i missed it.  I am quite positive i missed something as i got this exact error on two different environments.

Thanks in advance, have a great day.

-Surya

Hi Surya,

Please send me the Oracle HTTP Server log file. (OHS of EBS 12.2)

You can zip alltogether and upload.
zip -r /tmp/`uname -n`_`date +%m%d%y.%H%M`_OPMN_OHS.zip $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/instances/*/diagnostics/logs/OHS/EBS_web_component/*log* $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/instances/*/diagnostics/logs/OPMN/opmn/*

Also, please tell me when did this error occur last time? exactly when?

Thanks

Re: EBS 12.2.4 SSL

Hi there,

thanks for the response.  while i am gathering the data, i wanted to share an observation i just did.

I am getting the same error on another env when i tried to access it with the https:// protocol but with the non-SSL port (8010 portpool 10)  which is not SSL configured at all.  However this same non-ssl env when used with https and the secureport 4453 (with the self-signed SSL certificates installed by default with the EBS install) will simply rewrite/redirect it as http on 8010 and works fine as well.

This tells me I am missing one key/important step.

Does it help at all ??

Thanks again,
Surya

There is something wrong.
Can you check this document first? and see if you missed out anything?

I think your configuration is really wrong.
it is obvious from the error also .. It says http not https while reporting the "ssl_error_rx_record_too_long" error.

Please make the ssl configuration once again by following the document (step by step):
Enabling SSL or TLS in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (Doc ID 1367293.1)

Lastly, let me know the situation.

Erman,

Thanks for your tip, I figured out what I missed out.

It was the s_webssl_port  remained at 8000, vs needed to be 4443.

I hope to be back in touch with you on few other items.  (Going live in 3 weeks).  Tons of additional challenges ahead.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks,

Surya
