[ERROR]: The value of s_patch_service_name is not set correctly in atleast one of the context files.

subizaidi@yahoo.com
Hi,

I am performing upgrade of EBS R12.2 to R12.2.4 (startCD 12.2.0.51). I am following the doc. id 1617461.1. After successfully applying AD and TXK patches. When I applied TXK Critical Patches the following error encountered :

adop phase=prepare

I will appreciate for the solution.

Thanks

It says there is no " /DB/EBS/APPS/fs1/EBSapps/appl/au/12.0.0/perl/TXK/ADOPValidationUtils.pm " file ..

Are permissions okay?
Is this file actually there?
Is this directory correct? (is your env wrong?)

Check this note directly -> Error "Use of uninitialized value $result in split" In File txkADOPValidations.error When Running fs_clone (Doc ID 2090393.1)

Hi,

I followed the note 2090393.1 and re-tested adop phase=prepare. This time the error is :

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20008: No Concurrent Manager is running that can run concurrent program
ADZDPATCH
ORA-06512: at "APPS.AD_ZD_ADOP", line 282

Did you check your concurrent managers?
Are they running properly?

Please check them and see if they are running?
If they are not running, start them.
If they are cannot be started , check the internal manager log to see the cause.

You may see the following note as well..
this note is for other issue, but similar to yours..
You may need to run the FNDLOAD command documented in this note, after making the above controls. (see previous update of mine)

ORA-20008 When Running "adop phase=prepare" (Doc ID 1587419.1)

Hi,

Thanks for your time and efforts. The issue is resolved as adop phase=prepare is not supported at R12.2 level. The patches are applied using option hotpatch=yes.

Thanks.

Good.
I didn't realize that you are exactly on 12.2.0..
Anyways, follow the documentation.

For TXK and AD : Applying the Latest AD and TXK Release Update Packs to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (Doc ID 1617461.1) -> Path A — Upgrade and New Installation Customers

For 12.2.4 -> Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.4 Readme (Doc ID 1617458.1)
You need to follow Readme of 12.2.4 -> Installing a new Oracle E-Business Suite system -> PATH A

Documentation will tell you how to apply the patches. (hotpatch, downtime mode or online patching cycle)
