End of Support for TLS 1 and EBS R12.2

Hi,
Microsoft's plan to drop support for Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols 1.0 and 1.1 in its browsers at the end of 2020.

We have a R12.2.4 System in TLS1. We connect to it using IE.

Does it really mean that we can no more connect to it,after  first of january 2021?

End of support does not mean end of function. More over how microsoft can prevent an installed system to work?

Thanks and regards.

As far as I see, Microsoft says the following:

Disablement postponed for Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge Legacy. TLS 1.0/1.1 will not be disabled by default for Internet Explorer and the legacy version of Microsoft Edge until Spring of 2021 at the earliest. Organizations that wish to disable TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 before that time may do so using Group Policy. TLS 1.0/1.1 will remain disabled by default in Microsoft Edge version 84 and later.

So they say spring of 2021.. (the earliest) and yes when they disable it, you need to upgrade ssl protocol to TLS 1.2...
