LDAP and CORBA Application protocol for EBS R12.2

Karthik
Hi Erman,

Recently we had added secondary node in our EBS R12.2. We had required firewall ports open between two nodes (i.e.) AdminServer ports and T3 application protocol. While proceeding with addnode we got error mentioning CORBA, then we had enabled CORBA application protocol and proceeded with node addition successfully. Again while starting application services on secondary node, managed services like oacore & forms got hanged and were not starting, nothing in oacore and forms logs. we found that while starting its connecting AdminServer node and got hanged. So we had checked logs at firewall and found that LDAP application protocol is blocking, once its opened between two servers. We can able to start services. After this activity I had checked for Oracle support and Oracle documents for reference of LDAP and CORBA Application protocols but nothing found relevant. If you have any idea or reference documents/links on this, Please share.

Thanks,
Karthik

It should be the embedded ldap..
WebLogic Server includes an embedded LDAP server that acts as the default security provider data store for the Default Authention. That weblogic user which is used while managing the WLS services in EBS should be stored in that embedded ldap and probably that's why you encountered that problem.. Good for you, as you solved it.

Here is a reference for COBRA -> https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e13540/T237048T593174.htm
