LVM -- Online Migration of Oracle 10G RAC Database

I saw your blog(Linux/LVM -- Online Migration of Oracle Database)

We have similar requirement but we have Oracle RAC database.

Does any thing special we have to take care at Oracle cluster level , cluster related files during the Storage migration.

Hi,

What filesystem are you using in your RAC env?
Are you using LVMs in ASM? Does your ASM reside on Linux LVMs?

We are not using ASM. Database version 10.2.0.4 RAC
LVM version is 5.1

Raw file system and we have migrate database from HP storage to EMC storage using LVM method suggest by the storage person. Please suggest what extra check do we have do from database side so that all the database and cluster related files gets migrated to new storage without any issue.

you can use the Cluster Verification utility.

Note: The latest CVU version (July 2013) can be used with all currently supported Oracle RAC versions, including Oracle RAC 10g, Oracle RAC 11g and Oracle RAC 12c.

CVU performs a range of tests, starting from initial hardware setup tests through entire cluster checks for Oracle RAC deployments. CVU covers all intermediate stages during the installation and configuration of a complete Oracle RAC stack.
