Ldap folder in weblogic

Dear erman,

How ldap folder is used by weblogic admin or managed servers?i have googled,but could not understand how this will prevent admin or managed servers from starting if some files got corrupted in ldap folder

it is related with embedded ldap.
You can think that, in every WLS domain, there is an embedded ldap server.
The Admin Server itself acts like an ldap server and replicates the new ldap data to the managed servers.
The files under ldap directory that is present in every managed server and admin server, are the ldap server files.
These files includes the main data for all the users,groups,roles and policies.

Managed Servers use this ldap files during the startup. So if there is a corrupt data in those files, you can't start the WLS servers.
This files and the embedded ldap server is important to have a stable WLS environment, as this embedded ldap server is used by the default security providers.
