We are in preproduction and users have suddenly encountered an error message "You have encountered an unexpected error, Please contact system administrator for assistance" and have not been able to log back in until the EBS server has been restarted. The ERP processes are up and running, no error prompts in BMC, but the users cannot login.
The error could not be reproduced in the UAT environment,. We checked the configuration setup of UAT and Pre-production and the only difference is the usage of a privileged port 443 in pre production which is not the case in UAT. Any suggestions are welcome. Implementation is EBS 12.2.4 Thanks. |

As far as I can see you have implemented SSL. What else do you have in the login process? SSO? 2)any errors/warnings in the HTTP Server and managed server logs? Especially oacore managed server.. 3)Any errors in the database alert log? 4)Can you login ? (I mean you click submit and then see the error ?) 5)Did you check the Oracle Support docs? *After Login to EBS Applications 12.2.4 Worklist Shows You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance. (Doc ID 1982161.1) *12.2.4 Error Page On HomePage "Error Page You have encountered an unexpected error. Forms access fails (Doc ID 1948274.1) *java.lang.NullPointerException' Error On Footer Of Homepage In 12.2 (Doc ID 2002260.1) Sysadmin Worklist Login Error Message: You have encountered an unexpected error *java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OANullDBTransactionImpl cannot be cast to oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OADBTransactionImpl (Doc ID 1999801.1) 6)If you cant find it using the 5 steps above, provide me a screenshot and send me the log files (apache, oacore, admin server , database alert log) |
Hi to answer your question:
1. Yes we use SSL and applied the SSL to the Oracle Apps server. We do not use SSO but AD authentication. 2. yes 3. yes 4. No cannot log in again until we re-start the application server. 5. Yes we got the Oracle support doc and we are trying to apply in the testing environment as we cannot apply directly to pre-production |

let me see the alert log showing the error , apache log , oacore server log and the screenshot. did you check the AD site , I mean the related the log files of the application servers which provide this AD authentication mechanism ? like SSO server.. Or if your authenticatin mechanism is custom , check your custom code which gets triggered at login. 8 May 2015 19:35 tarihinde "HKuser [via Erman Arslan's Oracle Forum]" <[hidden email]> yazdı:
