Non Technical - how to determine a career in Oracle EBS from being a support

californiagirl
Hello Erman and to everyone,

First sorry to ask a non technical question. I'm quite new in Oracle EBS with just 2.5 years experience doing EBS technical support. I wish I can know more as I've been through a lot of limitation from my previous company. So  my plan now since I found  the book is to self study. Do you think its ok? Will it keep me sane? hihihihihhi Can I make a new career out of it?

Thank you for reading...

Hi,

In EBS , there are 3 roles.. APPS DBA, Functional and Developer.
It depends on the role that you want to play.
The best way to learn EBS is working in a company that uses EBS for its mission critical operations.
However; you can also study EBS.. You can read my book and the arcticle written in my blog. (ermanarslan.blogspot.com)

For being an APPS DBA, I definitely recommend the book :)

You can ask your questions here, as well..

Hello,

Thank you so much for the response.

I think the book will be my roadmap on what role I have to play. I already have it and its pretty amazing how you put it out for us to see and know. You and your team are so amazing for making the book "Practical Oracle E-Business suite. This really makes me happy and inspired.

Again, thank you and have a great weekend. (^_^)
