ODA 12.1.0.2 Patching

Hello Erman,

I have a query. For ODA version:- 12.1.0.2 if i want to apply Bundle patch what will be the latest patch number.

Based on the oracle doc id- 2118136.2, i have come to know that the below would be the patch number.

Patch 27010941: COMBO OF OJVM COMPONENT 12.1.0.2.180116 DB PSU + DB BP 12.1.0.2.180116

Please let me know whether i am correct or not. If not, let me the know the current patch number i should look for to apply.

ODA is an engineered system and it is recommended tou apply one ODA Patch that includes all the components. (Firmware, OS, Grid Infrastructure and the database).

There is a specific note for ODA releases. You should review it - > Oracle Database Appliance - 18.1, 12.X, and 2.X Supported ODA Versions & Known Issues (Doc ID 888888.1).. You ll see ODA bundle patches there.

Also, it is allowed to apply patches/PSUs to DBs running on ODA.(I personally think it is not recommended but still allowed) So if you decided to go this way, than yes you are right -> 12.1.0.2.180116 is the latest for 12.1.0.2 (RDBMS & GRID Version)
