Parameters prior to upgrade to 11.2.0.4

We are in 11.1.0.7 version. We are upgrading to 11.2.0.4

Do we need to add below parameters prior to upgrade in pfile

compatible=11.2.0.4
Diagnostic_dest

OR
can we add this after upgrade
