Query Regarding Patching of Inactive Products

VinodN
Hi Erman, in the installation guide it is written:

"Licensed products are
those specified in your licensing agreement with Oracle.
However, you must indicate on the Rapid Install wizard screens which products and
country-specific functionalities you have licensed to register them as being active in
your system. This active flag is important during any patching and other system-wide
maintenance tasks that are performed after the initial installation or upgrade."

Does this mean that the products and functionalities which were not registered as active will not be patched or maintained?

Regards,
Vinod

Yes, looks like only registered products and functionalities are patched and maintained.

Yes.
Don't you think it is a bad idea to patch the products which are not registered, not licensed, not used anyways.
