R12.2-cleaning old editions

Hi Erman,

We are going to perform actualize_all to drop the old editions.we want to know whether actualize_all will retire the editions before droppping them.Please clarify

This is not documented and it is not necessary to be documented.
actualize_all drops the old edition, that's the info you need.

If you want to know more, do tests.
In my opinion, it doesn't retire the editions, it just drops them.

What kind of "abort" do you mean?
Breaking it (killing it/terminating it with ctrl+c) while it is running?

You should be able to run adop phase=abort after performing actualize_all and before cutover.
However, it will revert back the things that are done by actualize_all? -> I didn't test it yet.
So technically yes. You can abort the actualize_all.
Please do a test, though. Update me with the outcome.
