RDA check for installing fails with not certified linux version

appsdba
Dear Erman,

how are you? I was trying to install r12.1.0 ebs on virtual box. I installed Linux 6.8, 6.9, 7.2 and 7.4.(all 64 bit)
I ran the pre requisite rda check. in all the machines it gave me error

A00100 OS Certified?        FAILED  Not certified [Oracle Linux 7 version]

for all the versions in installed. it gives me the same results as failed. oracle Linux not certified.

i have struggling with this. kindly help

12.1.0 ?

Can it be EBS 12.2.0?

That rule is improved actually. I mean -> "Improved rule A00100 to add support for Oracle Linux 7 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7."

REF: RDA Release Notes (Doc ID 414970.1)

your RDA version may be not up-to-date..
Up-to-date version can be downloaded using the following note ->  DocID: 314422.1.

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

i was trying to install 12.1.0 and also i tried for 12.2.0.

I was trying to do a pre requisite check using the doc id RDA - Health Check / Validation Engine Guide (Doc ID 250262.1)

is this not the appropriate doc for checking pre requisite?

Hi Erman,

I download the new version for linux 64 bit. and run the script. it gives me the following output.

A00200 OS Certified?        FAILED  Not certified [Oracle Linux 6 version]

!!SHOWSTOPPER!!
For more information about the certified Linux versions, see My Oracle Support document ID 761564.1 for Linux x86 and My Oracle Support document ID 761566.1 for Linux x86_64.

No luck with the updated script.

Hi,

While booting the system i selected the Red hat supported kernel instead of UEK. it worked fine and RDA check was successfully completed.

I downloaded R12.1 software and made a staging area.
oraAppDB , oraApps, oraAS,  oraDB , startCD

I completed all pre requisite checks successfully and while starting installation it is asking me to enter RDBMS Disk 1

I couldn't find RDBMS disk

Can you please suggest.

Yes. I just checked the RDA.
The rule "<sdp_rule id="A00200" mode="VERIFY" name="OS Certified?">" is defined in ; "AEbs1211_lin"  test file and it is a kernel version check.

As for your "RDBMS Disk 1" error, please send me a screenshot, thus I can see it clearly.
