Setting up Word or Excel as a Viewer Option R12.2 EBS

Hi Erman,

Need your suggestions

Our users want to view the request output in excel for a standard program.we followed the note id "How To Setup Word Or Excel as a Viewer Option [178133.1]" and made below changes

In Oracle Applications, enter a Viewer Option to handle the Word & Excel Application:
1. System Administrator Responsibility
2. INSTALL > VIEWER OPTIONS
3. Create a valid MIME for Word and Excel:

Format Type MIME DESCRIPTION
Text application/msword 11i Word
Text application/vnd.msexcel 11i Excel

4. Save
5. PROFILE > SYSTEM -
6. Check the PROFILE > SYSTEM OPTION - Viewer: Text and we have set to browser.


We then bounced the middle tier but it doesnt work.could you please let us know if we are missing something or any other alternatives to acheieve this

Did you do all the things (checks and actions) documented there?

If you did "all" the things, then please describe your problem.
What do you mean "it doesnt work." ? What kind of a concurrent program you are executing for testing these outputs? what kind of an error you are getting? (also upload the screenshots describing the problem if needed)

What do you mean "it doesnt work." ? What kind of a concurrent program you are executing for testing these outputs? what kind of an error you are getting? (also upload the screenshots describing the problem if needed)
