You can't.

Please see ->

Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Dependency On MDSYS, CTXSYS, and ORDSYS Database Schemas Which Are Required For Proper EBS Functionality (Doc ID 2202861.1)

You may check what is causing the issue? You say it is spatial, but which operation? Is it an index creation task, is it a drop operation or is it a compilation or a query.. If you can identify that long running task, and update me with the statement, then we can check if we can do anything about that.

We need to see a trace.. or you should rerun this upgrade in your TEST environment you should check the sessions and see the queries they re executing and tell us.. (query + execution plan + description of the relevant table(s)) 11.1.0.7 is an old release, I hope the cause to be found is not a complex one..

Lack of stats may be the cause, lots of data (more than your hw resources can handle) in your spatial tables may be the cause, a bug can be the cause.. Without data(diag data), only an Oracle can know it :)

Note that; there are some bugs around this subject (spatial & upgrade ) -> Slow Performance On Database Upgrade with Spatial Data (Doc ID 2477788.1)

Thank you erman. We will try to run upgrade once again.

2477788.1 says version 11.2.0.4 and later...since we are upgrading from 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.4,is it applicable for us.

Kindly suggest

Thanks,
