WLS Admin Password Disable on Application User Information in rapidwiz installation wizard

subizaidi@yahoo.com
Hi,

I am installing EBS R12.2 (2-node RAC Database on Solaris 11.3 and Application on Linux 7.3). The stage is built on Solaris SPARC (64-bit). During installation steps the WLS Admin Password is disable on Application User Information form. Also, other fields are app_user_info.jpgdisabled for the input.

Appreciate to provide solution to enable these fields to proceed further with the installation.

Thanks & regards.

Strange...

Tell me the whole story.

1) Is it the first time that you execute the rapidwiz on this apps node? Any previous attempts?
2) How do you execute rapidwiz exaclty? send me the exact commands that you used.
3) Any missing OS packages(which are required for EBS 12.2) on your Solaris?
4) You install the DB tier seperately right? Send me the screenshots of this installation as well.
5)any errors in the rapidwiz log file?

The steps for the installation of EBS R12.2. (2-Node RAC, Database on Solaris 11.3 and Application on Linux 7.3) are as follows :

1. we are doing it first time, rapidwiz executed on one of the RAC nodes
2. as oracle user.
cd /DB/stageR12/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz/
./rapidwiz
3.will did not install any OS package for Solaris as per this note (https://blogs.oracle.com/stevenchan/new-solaris-sparc-os-requirements-for-ebs-r12).dbnode.jpgapp_node.png
4.We installed only the Grid Infrastructure 12.1.0.2 on DB Nodes. No Oracle Binaries so far. We are expecting rapidwiz will do that task. Because selected both RAC Nodes on rapidwiz.
5. No errors
6. On application server (Linux 7.3) we installed the oracle-ebs-server-R12-preinstall

Note : If there is any mandatory OS package for Solaris then kindly let me know.

Thanks.

Are you installing the EBS db tier right now?
I mean it seems you want to implement a split configuration (apps tier on apps machines, db tier on db machines/RAC nodes)..

If you are installing the db tier of EBS, then this thing that you are complaining about is probably normal, as you will supply it while you will install the EBS's apps tier..

check the following note for all the requirements of installing EBS 12.2 on Solaris.

Hi,

We started the installation of EBS R12.2 on single node providing all the inputs. Running rapidwiz as root user as DB is owned by oracle:oinstall and application by applmgr:dba. As this is 2-node RAC we selected both nodes for DB on Database Node Configuration form.

But "Validate System Configuration" gives File Space issue and on checking System check Details it gives "Unable to calculate ASM freesapce" although there is about 700 GB space on ASM Disks. ASM Disks owner is oracle:oinstall at OS Level.

Thanks.

When using Automatic Storage Management (ASM), the asmadmin group is required for the operating system user installing 12.2 in order to access ASM.

Add the asmadmin group for the user installing 12.2.
