What to learn first

Hello Erman,
We are migrating our EBS prod and non-prod environments to Exadata and Exascale respectively - Oracle@Azure.

We do not have experience of working on ASM. We have HA, DR, SSO (OAM, OUG, OID, Azure AD).
We have not opted for RAC on Exadata.
Our db is 19c and EBS is 12.2.10 on RHEL.

As APPS + core DBA, which things should I learn first to be ready for Exadata?

Learn ASM & Exascale Storage Basics: Learn asmcmd, srvctl, diskgroups, and Exascale storage concepts (virtualization, thin cloning, and resource management) since you are replacing local filesystems with ASM/Exascale.

Exadata-Specific Features: Understand Smart Scans, Offloading, Storage Indexes, and Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC), which directly impact EBS query performance and storage management.
--Check Oracle Support and trusted oracle blogs (just to get the ideas) for Exadata specific documentation for EBS.

CellCLI & ExaCLI Admin: Master basic commands to monitor cell disks, grid disks, and storage server health/alerts.

Oracle@Azure Networking & Infrastructure: Learn how OCI Exadata infrastructure integrates with Azure. This is not in my focus, so I just give you a general idea for this one.

EBS 12.2 on ASM Integration: Focus on things that differ when moving when having ASM in the logical storage layer. (cloning, copying, EBS specific things like cloning and etc.)

Exadata Backup & Recovery (RMAN): Learn RMAN configuration specific to Exadata/ASM, offloading backups to storage cells, and Exascale snapshot capabilities for non-prod
