adstats.sql after upgrade

Dear erman,

Our app version R12.1.3, We have upgraded 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.4 in test instance.Upgrade took 4 hours.As a post step,we are running adstats.sql which took almost 7 hours.Since it is run in restricted session,application is not accessible during this time.Any suggestions to reduce the time here.

adstats.sql hangs doing what?
As you know there are different types of stats gathering done by the adstats.sql
Check -> ADSTATS.SQL HANG AT DBMS_STATS.GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS. (Doc ID 466294.1) and see if it is similar.. Update me otherwise.
