enabling SSL after 12.2 Upgrade in Existing SSL enabled 12.1.3 environment

Mike H
Hello, we just completed upgrading to 12.2.9. Instead of creating a new CSR and going through the whole process, is there a quick and short way of migrating our SSL configuration/certificate from 12.1.3 (old binaries) to 12.2.9 (new binaries)?

Thanks.

In the case where the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 was upgraded from either an 11i or 12.0/12.1 instance, you can use/reuse your existing certificate as long as there is no change in the hostname and the existing certificate is SHA-2. The following information uses the 11i to 12.2 upgrade scenario as an example. The same holds true for 12.0/12.1

*Check "Section 10 Reusing certificates" of the MOS document -> Enabling TLS in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (Doc ID 1367293.1)
*Check this note as well -> 12.2 E-Business Suite Technology Stack Upgrade Steps To Reuse/ Migrate 11i Certificates To 12.2 Wallet Format To Replace Cwallet.sso (Doc ID 2315134.1)

It is adressed for a bug hit by a customer who was moving certificate wallets from 12.1.3 to 12.2.6 during upgrade.

These notes will help you.
