goldengate replication analysis

Hi,

Goldengate scenario explained below . It should be Bi-directional replication ( active -passive)

1) Eight 11.2.0.4 database (in IBM-AIX)  should replicate to Dubai site  ( 11.2.0.4.0 -RAC - Oracle SPARC)

2) Five 12.2.0.1.0 database (in IBM-AIX)  should replicate to Dubai site  ( 12.2.0.1.0 -RAC - Oracle SPARC)

3) One 12.1.0.2.0 database (in IBM-AIX)  should replicate to Dubai site  ( 12.1.0.2.0 -RAC - Oracle SPARC)

3) One 12.2.0.1.0 database (RHEL 7)  should replicate to Dubai site  ( 12.2.0.1.0 -RAC - Oracle SPARC)

4) Four 11.2.0.4.0 database (RHEL 7)  should replicate to Dubai site  ( 11.2.0.4.0 -RAC - Oracle SPARC)

GG cannot be installed in each servers to replicate... managing is very tough. Is there a tool to use? Is goldengate hub ok? It seems to work in a classic way. We are expecting html screen to manage all. Goldengate microservices gives html option.. but client didn't mention it works with goldengate hub.

Regards,

Roshan

Microservices Architecture (MA) can be thought as aadministration architecture that provides REST-enabled services in GG environments.
Theses REST-enabled services provide remote configuration, administration, and monitoring through HTML5 webpages, command-line interfaces, and APIs.

Hub has the advantage of "manage & monitor on a single server"
Using Goldengate 19c is recommended as it has cross endian remote capture.

It seems HUB and MA can be used together.
As for the monitoring , you embed the monitoring data

Following is a good resource for you.. There you will find a Hub configuration powered with MA.

Oracle Database Migration with an OracleGoldenGate Hub Configuration
https://www.oracle.com/a/tech/docs/maa-database-migration-with-a-goldengate-hub.pdf
Read the document above carefully.

As mentioned in the document above, each MA deployment is created with an Administration Server and (optionally) Performance Metrics Server..
So this performance metrics server gives you lots of details for monitoring and diagnostics.
