Probably due to database connection , or something related with your database. Check your database tier, and the things that may prevent successful connections.

A reference (not exactly for the same issue but call stack is similar) ->

Login Page Hangs With Error In oacore Log: There is no process to read data written to a pipe (Doc ID 1459761.1)

Hi Emran  , We Have been frequently facing this issue   for one of the custom OAF pages ,
When we click on the Custom OAF page
I track the sid, serial Id and the Sql txt  related to my session
In back end The session completes after 12-13 mins
But OAF page already Times out and prints like Internal server error misconfiguration.
We are Facing Huge Client escalation for this
Can u please suggest why OAF page times out but db  session sql completes within 10-15 mins

Did you check the following MOS note? Maybe your situation is similar to that? (because the error stack is very similar to yours)

Error "html: Servlet error - java.io.IOException: Broken pipe" in oacore application.log. (Doc ID 1631624.1)
