question on upgrade

Sri
Hi Erman,

Thanks for your continuous support

1)Oracle says "Customizing any concurrent program definitions, menus, value sets, or other seeded data provided by Oracle E-Business Suite is not supported. The upgrade process overwrites these customizations."

In our environment,We have copied the standard valueset to XXcustomname and then customised it,in this case do we loose this customization after upgrade?

Thank you

If Oracle says so , then yes..
You should back up those customizations and deploy them when they get overwritten. (you may need to modify them according to the changes delivered with the new version as well)

Hi Erman,

If the upgrade is from R12.2.5 to R12.2.7,then in this case do we loose the any customization.

I think EBS 12.2.7 is only a Release Upgrade Pack and does not change the base version of EBS.so we dont loose any customization.

can you please correct me if if am wrong

Thank you

Yes.
We do the same type of upgrades time to time and I can say that there are no updates/redeployments  necessary after those upgrades.
Still, you should do the upgrade in the TEST env first, check customizations after that first iteration and ensure that it is not breaking any custom thing.
