If your 11.1.0.7 home is still there, then yes it is normal. There is a home there, and there is an inventory record there.

Send me the output after the following actions;

grep inventory_loc /etc/oraInst.loc

cd <to_the_directory_pointed_by_intentroy_loc> and do the following ls
ls -l inventory.xml

Then "cat" it and send me the output.

cat inventory.xml
