In brief if I summarize;

rman obselete reports;

B A A type backups  not obseleted(Backupset ,contains Archivelog ,Available.)
B F A  types backups as obseleted   (Backupset Full , Available.)
B  0  A types backups as obseleted (Backupset, Level0, Available.)

"so if there is an archivelog, it does not see it as obseleted."

These findings direct me to the following document;
