What do you mean by vendor? Do you mean user?
So you logout and then try to login with that problematic user and you get "You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact your system administrator", am I correct?

*If the issue doesn't depend on the SSL implementation ( I mean, if you encouter the same issue even when running without SSL);  ->

Considering everyting is okay with the client and browser;  

Use adadmin to recompile menus.

Run the "Synchronize WF LOCAL tables" and "Workflow Directory Services User/Role Validation" with the 'Fix dangling  user/roles' and  'Add missing user/role assignments' to yes.

*If the issue only appears after SSL configuration;

-> send me the apache log + oacore log
-> check the profiles set for that user in user level, ensure that there is no profile that is set to the old configuration (I mean the http - nonssl related one..)
