How to register database for ODA via odacli

Hello All,
I am hoping to get good advice from you guys .
I have multiple non-registered ODA databases currently running on ODA environment, and they have been registered in the clusterware using service control (srvctl). However, they have not been registered in ODA repository.
As databases already been created, running and registered on clusterware. My questions are
1. Before I execute "odacli register-database" Do I need to run the command  "odacli create-storage" first for every database I register?
2. I understand that the command of "odacli register-database"  will perform "register DB with clusterware" , but databases have already been registered on clusterware. So Do you think the command may fail? Can the command be re-run or does it corrupt the oda metadata repository? (I heard you may need to cleanup the Apache Derby database manually?)
3. Do you have any better suggestions to register these non-oda database back to ODA?
